Permanent Hair Removal


We utilize the Candela Gentle ND:YAG laser system. This system uniquely targets unwanted body hair on all skin types without damaging the delicate pores or structure of the skin.  This revolutionary technology utilizes long-pulse high-energy laser which emits a gentle beam of light that passes through the skin to the hair follicle. The laser energy is transformed into heat, which destroys the hair follicle leaving the surrounding skin unaffected. The skin is further protected by a Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD), where cryogen is sprayed onto the skin, cooling the upper layers and providing patients with increased comfort.


Treatment​

Multiple sessions are required as the process is only effective when the hair follicle is in the active growth phase.  The number of sessions and length of time of each session varies with each individual patient and the area of the body being treated.  Sessions are typically scheduled 5 to 12 weeks apart depending on the treatment area.  Some patients may feel discomfort, a tingling and/or stinging sensation during the laser session but most patients tolerate the procedure well. The discomfort resolves in several seconds and is minimized by the DCD and cool compresses that are applied during the treatment.
